Module 1: Pre-Production                                          Duration: 6 Months

About Pre-production:
The pre-production process is the first stage of creating animations. During this stage, the animation team develops the story and writes the script of the animation, designs the characters, creates a storyboard, chooses the color palettes, prepares the backgrounds, and records the voice-over. This is a preparation stage for the main process, so it needs to be properly done.

A well-written script should imply all the visual actions and storyline. The storyboard is based on the script, so it visually represents the sequence of actions and events by showing how they are organized.
                                                       Another step is creating the characters, outlining the backgrounds, and preparing other visual elements of the animation. It starts from simple sketches and develops into detailed designs and images, including the colors of various objects and lighting. 

Another important part of animation is backgrounds where different actions come to life and the characters perform their activities.
During the pre-production process, the main background layouts are sketched or animated based on the storyboard. 

 

1. Learning Processes:

1. Drawing : with Character Sketching, Background Drawing as per perspective
   with the help of animation tools
   ( as per 5 elements : Front, three-forth, profile, back-quarter, back posture )
2. Principles of Animation and types of Animation
    
3. Sound Recording process / dialogue  / Mixing  as per sequences using tools
    
4. Concept of Perspective Drawing
    
5. Drawing on various body expressions  ( frame by frame using tools )
    
6. Drawing on various Facial expressions (as per the recorded Dialogue)
    
7. Concept of  Lip synchronization (as per the recorded Dialogue)
    
8. Concept of Camera and about different Shots and Camera angles
    
9. Operation of Animation tools and Animation Techniques
    
10. Concept of Storyboarding (with Still images)
     
11. Concept of Storyboarding  : Animated (using Animation tools)
     

 

Duration – 6 Months (3 Days / week)

Eligibility: 10+2 from any recognized board

Recommended Software:    Photoshop,   Flash,   Sound Forge, Adobe Audition

Module 2: Production                                                     Duration: 6 Months

About Production:
Production is the process of creating the animation by gathering all the created materials together and producing the scenes. This includes painting the backgrounds, creating the individual scenes and character activities, making the rough animation, cleaning up the animation (tracing), inbetweening, coloring and painting the drawings with the help of computer software, compositing, and export.

5. Studying the principles of characters in advanced versions

Module 3: Post Production                                                                         Duration: 6 Months

Post- Production:

In post- production, it includes audio-visual editing in specific editing software and rendering the final output.  Post-production is the final editing process of 2D animation. During this phase, the animation is enhanced with additional sound effects or recordings which increase the emotional impact of the animation.
Visual effects and special effects also added with the animated scenes. The animation also may need to be edited in the more traditional film sense; shots cut slightly short or held longer, even scenes cut entirely. Once the final version is ready, it’s rendered and exported to different formats.
